Adding a logo without losing readability

Use your brand with enough contrast and space for a reliable scan.

Start with a dark code on a light background. A QR code must remain readable before it serves as a brand graphic. Avoid colors that are too close in brightness, and keep the clear margin around the code free of text, borders, and decoration.

Keep a center logo small. A QR code can recover from some covered modules, but that does not make every logo size safe. A complex logo or a large opaque background can cover too much of the pattern. Leave the corner locator shapes clear and test the exact exported design.

Use SVG when you need a crisp vector image for print. Use PNG when a document or application needs a raster image, and export at a resolution suitable for its final size. Increasing the size later does not restore detail that was missing from a small raster export.

Print a sample using the same material, size, and surface as the final job. Check it with several phones at a comfortable distance and in ordinary lighting. Curved packaging, reflective surfaces, low light, and dense content can make scanning harder even when the image looks good on a screen.
