Changing a QR code's destination

Update a dynamic destination while keeping the same printed code.

Open the user center and select the dynamic QR code you want to change. Review the current destination so you are editing the right campaign. Enter the new address and save it. The code keeps its original public address; you do not need to replace the image on material that has already been printed.

Scan the original code again after saving. Confirm that it opens the new destination on the devices your audience uses. Changing an address does not guarantee that the destination website itself is available, so test both the redirect and the page that follows it.

For a PDF code, upload the replacement file before changing the file reference. A failed upload leaves the existing file in place. Review the new file before switching the destination, particularly when the code is already used on packaging or instructions.

A static code cannot be updated this way. Its original address is encoded directly in the image. Create a new static image when that content changes, or start with a dynamic code when future changes are likely. Moving codes from another service also requires control of the domain and path already printed in those codes; owning a new domain cannot change their encoded address.
