Why is location unavailable or inaccurate?

What to do

A location result is only meaningful when the visit contains coordinates returned through a valid consent session. Open the relevant workspace's analytics and compare the visit's time with your test before assuming that every scan has a precise location.

On the scanning device, review browser location permission and system location settings. Indoor reception, battery-saving behavior, weak signals and the device's location services can reduce accuracy. Changing the QR design does not improve the device's positioning hardware.

Test outdoors with permission enabled if appropriate, then repeat with permission refused. The first may return coordinates; the second should remain unknown while still allowing the destination to open. Do not fill missing results with a guessed IP-based city or country.

If the reported location is unsuitable for your use, describe the device, browser, time and asset ID when contacting support. Do not advertise the scan as verified physical presence. An estimated or unavailable location cannot prove an individual visitor's identity or exact movement.
