Name a QR code

What to do

A code's name is an internal display label that helps you find the correct asset. Use a name that identifies the campaign, placement or version, such as a store location and season, without putting secrets or unnecessary personal information into the label.

Set the QR code name when creating a managed asset in your user center. To change it later, select the owning workspace, open the existing asset, edit its name and save. In bulk creation, the name column supplies a separate label for each CSV row.

Return to the list and search the current results for the new name. Open the asset and compare its ID and public link with your original record. Renaming should not change the destination, printed path or encoded content.

If the asset cannot be edited, check membership and its state. Do not create a replacement just to rename it. Folders and tags can provide additional organization without being used as a substitute for access permissions.
