Delete a code safely

What to do

Before deleting, identify the asset by name, ID and public link. Check whether its image is already printed, used in a campaign, or shared by another team member. Deletion makes the managed destination unavailable; use Pause instead when you only need a temporary stop.

Open the asset list in the correct workspace and use its Move to trash action. Process codes individually: the current interface does not provide a multi-selection bulk-delete operation. A read-only member cannot authorize deletion even if they can view the asset.

Filter the list by Deleted and verify that the intended record appears there. Its slug remains reserved, preventing a new code from taking over an old printed address. Scan a retained image if you need to confirm that the managed link is unavailable.

Deleted assets remain recoverable through Restore, subject to state and allowance checks. Deleting an asset does not delete the account, erase scan history or rewrite a static image's embedded destination. Keep identifiers for any recovery or support request.
