Do QR codes expire?

A static QR matrix does not acquire an expiry date merely because it was downloaded. It still contains the same destination or text. However, a website, file or external service encoded inside it can disappear, change or require authentication independently.

A dynamic code needs a working managed redirect. Check its state in the user center and inspect the owning workspace, effective plan and domain. A paused, deleted or blocked asset is different from a destination website that is temporarily offline.

Review Plan & billing before relying on continued use after a plan change. TOTAL and PERIOD allowances have different rules, and optional features or custom-domain service require their own eligibility and configuration. Do not infer permanent hosting from an image file.

Scan existing material before a campaign and after important changes. Keep the asset ID and original URL for support. This guidance describes current dependencies; it is not a promise that any third-party destination or unconfigured custom domain will remain available forever.
