What to do
Generate a preview with your own data, or open a saved asset in its workspace. Use the download controls attached to that code so the image corresponds to the current design rather than a reference thumbnail.
Select PNG, JPEG, WebP or SVG. Choose a width of 256, 512, 1024, 1200 or 2048 pixels, or Custom for a width from 256 to 4096. Leave height blank to preserve the native aspect ratio. An explicit valid height creates a containing box without stretching the QR matrix.
Open the downloaded file and check dimensions, frame, caption and destination. SVG preserves vector geometry; raster formats contain actual image pixels. Keep the background and quiet zone when placing the image into another document or design tool.
A very dense code at a small width may not scan reliably. Use a larger size and test at the intended printed size on real phones. Invalid sizes and unsupported settings should show an error, not a misleading successful download.
