What to do

1. Use a subdomain you control, such as qr.example.com. Enter only the hostname, without https://, a path or a trailing slash. Keep your main website on its existing domain.

2. An owner or administrator can add the domain in Custom domains. Check your plan allowance first. A domain can be registered only once.

3. Copy the TXT and CNAME records from your domain settings. For qr.example.com, the CNAME name is qr in the example.com DNS zone. Use DNS only, not a proxy.

4. Click Verify connection after updating DNS. HTTPS activates automatically once all checks pass. Then choose Use for new links and scan a test QR code before printing.

5. When creating a dynamic code, short link or hosted page, confirm the workspace and open Scan domain. Choose Workspace default, a platform domain or an available custom domain, then check Address preview before saving. Static codes open their encoded destination directly and do not use this selector.

6. Only new codes use this selection. Existing printed addresses stay the same.

7. Saved links keep their original domain. A domain in use cannot be removed.
