Import registers from a CSV

What to do
Open Bulk register import from Registers and tasks. Owners and administrators can create imports; editors, analysts and participants cannot change register settings. The selected workspace supplies its remaining object allowance. An industry solution preloads several suggested workflow types; these are editable examples, not published customer records.
Prepare a CSV with name and objectCode headers. Keep each objectCode unique, including references already in the recycle bin. Identifiers remain strings, so leading zeros are preserved. Double quotes allow commas or line breaks inside a cell. Import at most 200 data rows and 1 MB of pasted text.
The selected workflow type applies to every row unless you add a preset column. In mixed imports, preset contains the system key shown in the industry example, such as equipment-inspection or inventory. Additional columns become private text attributes; they are not automatically shared on the visitor page.
Choose the scan domain and time zone, then preview. Preview checks the rows, duplicate references and remaining allowance without creating anything. Fix invalid rows before proceeding. Changing the text, type, time zone or domain invalidates the previous preview. The server checks the domain and allowance again at creation.
Create drafts only after the preview succeeds. The batch is atomic: a validation failure leaves no partial set of new objects. If the response is lost, retry on the same page without editing the data; the retained request key returns the original receipt instead of creating duplicate objects.
Open each result to check its name, fields, private access and visitor permissions. Imported drafts are not published, do not enable anonymous submission and do not schedule tasks automatically. Publish the reviewed objects, configure schedules separately, then download or print their QR codes and scan a final-size sample. The chosen domain and path stay fixed for that object.
