Audio guide

Publish an ordered audio playlist with playback windows and readable transcripts.

Start with an MP3 or PCM WAV recording that you own or may publish. Give each track a meaningful title, provide a transcript for people who cannot listen, and decide whether the viewing page should show a download button. Keep a local original before uploading.

What happens after the scan

Visitors open a mobile audio page and press Play themselves. Each track has its own controls and optional transcript. A selected start and end restrict the playback window; they do not create a new shortened audio file. The full original remains the source, so playback settings are not a method of protecting unpublished audio.

What you can configure

A playlist with independent tracks

Add up to 20 ordered tracks to one page. Move a track up or down in the editor without changing the permanent scan address. Titles, descriptions and transcripts belong to their individual recordings.

Choose the right recording for the setting

MP3 usually makes a smaller spoken-word download; PCM WAV preserves uncompressed samples but can be much larger. The existing 20 MB per-file limit applies. Browser playback depends on the actual encoding and the visitor device, so test on the phones your audience uses.

Prepare these fields

Track title
A short label that identifies the speaker, exhibit, instruction or language.
Audio file
Select a validated MP3 or PCM WAV from this workspace. File extensions alone do not determine acceptance.
Transcript
Add the words a visitor needs to read instead of listening. Keep spelling, names and important instructions consistent with the recording.
Playback window
Enter seconds for the start and end. An end of zero means the remaining original duration. Test the selected range in a real browser.
Loop playback
Repeat the selected window when a repeated demonstration is useful. Playback still starts from a visitor action.
Show audio download button
Offer a visible link to the original recording. Hiding the button does not make streamed media impossible to save.

Keep the printed code useful

Save the revised playlist as a draft, preview it, then publish. Visitors continue using the same code. Replacing a recording requires selecting the new file and publishing the page again; uploading a file alone does not change the published experience.
